There was a bus strike today, so I had to walk to work.. I probably needed the excercise anyway.. I had about a 30 minute walk, Natalie has about a 45 minute walk and Melissa has about a 30 minute walk.. It wasn't too bad this morning except for it started to rain.. Hopefully that won't be the case when I go home..

The bus strike is strange.. Two days ago we learned that the busses will not be running today due to industrial action.. And for the next couple of weeks they will be running on a Saturday schedule.. And they will not be running 2 days at the end of the month.. Is this all fun and games?

My theory is that the bus strike is due to the bombings in London and the transit employees no longer feel it is a safe job or at least it constitutes an unsafe environment which means entitlement to more money.. Negotiations are underway.. But no one wants to lose their jobs so the trade off is a couple days off and a raise..

But the First busses are still running.. Unfortunately, I have no idea where they run, and I've never seen one run down Leith Walk anyway..

Suck it up, Andrea.. Take a walk..
